History of the Foundation
In early 2023, Charles Gibson convened a group of community members to form an educational foundation to support the success of all Blaine School District students. In the past year, this group has:
- Formed a board of directors and advisors
- Incorporated as a Washington State non-profit
- Received tax exempt status with the IRS
- Developed vision, mission, and values statements
- Set fundraising and giving goals for 2024
ENDORSEMENTS
As a community leader, I’m pleased to be a part of this non-profit. Many of our local students need a boost beyond what state and local taxes can provide. The Foundation has no overhead costs, so every dollar goes directly to those in need to advance education goals. I know our community will give generously because we care about our kids.
– Bonnie Onyon, Vice President
Investing in our students is investing in the future of our town. I am so pleased to see that our schools here in Blaine are being assisted by the Peace Arch Education Foundation.
